Welcome!

Welcome to the School of Serbian Language & Culture at the Serbian Cultural Center in San Diego! We are proud to offer a unique educational experience where children can learn the Serbian language and explore Serbian culture.

Our school curriculum has been developed by professors of Serbian language and literature. The material and books used in our classes have been approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Office for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the region. This ensures that our students receive a high-quality education that aligns with official standards.

Classes are held every Saturday from 2:00 to 4:45 pm, providing a convenient schedule for families. Enrollment  is open for children aged 3 and older. We offer different levels of Serbian language courses, which are adapted to the age and knowledge of the student. For our youngest learners, aged 3 and 4, we offer part-time classes to accommodate their specific needs. For those living outside of San Diego, we offer online classes via the Zoom application.
At our school, we believe in making learning a joyful and interactive experience. Our dedicated teachers strive to create a dynamic environment where students can engage with the Serbian language and culture through play, songs, acting, and a variety of other fun-filled activities. We understand that children learn best when they are actively involved and having fun!

Beyond our educational offerings, we value the formation of lifelong friendships and a strong community. Parents have the opportunity to connect through special events, fundraising activities, kids' plays, and other exciting activities organized by our Center. This sense of community adds a special dimension to our school and fosters a supportive environment for both students and their families.
